Picturesque Trentino:
where wine and culture go hand in hand ...
The Palazzo Lodron is situated amidst a charming little village called Nogaredo in the Adige Valley. ROVERETO, a former trading town across the river, is well worth visiting. Imposing palaces tinted with fresh colour line the streets of the centro storico. Rovereto's main attraction, however, is the Museum of Modern Art (MART) and its fascinating architecture designed by Mario Botta. The museum opened in 2002 and has since become one of the most important institutions for modern and contemporary art in the country.
The surroundings offer a huge variety of cultural and sportive activities.
Nogaredo is located right between TRENTO (20 km) and LAKE GARDA (19 km) – popular destinations like VERONA, the VALPOLICELLA and VINCENZA are only a daytrip away. Fans of classical music will enjoy an unforgettable evening in the famous arena of Verona, while lovers will stroll the narrow streets in search for Juliet’s balcony.
The region is a true paradise for wine lovers. Vineyards where common varieties such as Merlot, Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio are grown, can be found everywhere. But winemakers also pay special attention to regional grapes such as the well liked Marzemino or the indigenous Schiava (Vernatsch).
Lake Garda and the surrounding mountains offer a huge range of sport possibilities: wind surfing, sailing, hiking,
mountainbiking etc.
Nogaredo is only a 35 minute’s drive from Bolzano as well as Verona airports. The closest train station is in Rovereto, a drive of only 10 minutes from the Palazzo.
